About Nicole’s Journalism Experience

Delving into climate and environmental issues, science, public health, architecture, design, and the arts, Nicole Javorsky is drawn to intersection points, where topics overlap and worlds collide, especially how they are experienced in people’s everyday lives …

Nicole’s writing on the intersection of environment, health, and design has appeared in Bloomberg CityLab, Mother Jones, CNN, Grist, Bluedot Living, Green Building & Design Magazine, and more. In addition to her editorial fellowships at prominent magazines including The Atlantic and Mother Jones, Nicole was a staff writer at The Hill and City Limits. She’s also an alum of the national service program, Report for America, plus an active member of the Society of Environmental Journalists.

Currently, Nicole utilizes her journalism background as a freelance writer. Her boundless curiosity, inclination for asking an unlimited supply of questions, and deep interest in observing the human experience from many perspectives, examining how history, science, philosophy, and lived experience combine, drives her writing, as well as her art and music.
