A wildflower grows from the cracks in the sidewalk (2025 Album & Live Performance)
2025 Album
Including 11 original songs and 1 spoken word poem set to guitar strums, this album embraces the voice as a medium of pure vulnerability, emotional expression, connection to the mysticism of the natural world, and healing alongside a beautifully raw simplicity in instrumentals.
Live Performance on May 24, 2025
On May 24, 2025, I released my album, A wildflower grows from the cracks in the sidewalk (under my alter ego name, Alice Celeste)! In an intimate concert the same day, I performed the album from start to finish.
A highly sensitive human with PTSD, I wanted to create a cozy concert atmosphere where people can experience the goose pumps of live music without overstimulation. This was a fully acoustic concert experience! No loud PAs or speakers. Simply my voice and an acoustic guitar. My backup singers were the birds and the wind!
Kathy Krisinski prepared the space (including the flower arrangements!) and the delicious food offered to concert attendees. I also displayed my artworks on the stage.
Alexandra Galvis photographed the event. Her images are below …

Connection to my Whispers Among the Trees series …
I created a cape to wear during my performance. I made this cape by drawing, painting, and sewing on muslin fabric, which has been a material central to many of the Whispers art pieces. I drew and painted symbols and shapes I’ve developed in the visual art series, incorporating lyrics from songs on the album too.
Whispers Among the Trees began with an imagined dialogue I wrote between a strange human (sweet child of the universe) and a woodland fairy named Existence. Within this text, the strange human sings to Existence, incorporating lyrics from this album.
